Capoeira

For the last two years, maybe longer, I've been wanting to do a capoeira class. I signed up for one at Greenwich Dance Agency a couple of weeks ago. For some reason, picking a martial art with a name I can't spell seems clever. I like the notion of learning dance, martial art, and music and history as well. There's more to it than just combat, or just dance. There's something I can get my teeth into.

I'm so excited by this (and even more excited that the class is ten minutes from my house). I don't start for a couple of weeks, but I've found myself looking at videos like the one above wondering how long it'll be before I can stand on one hand and do back flips. About a week I reckon. Heh.

OK, maybe not a week. But I'm going to have a heck of a fun time falling over and making a twat out of myself.
