It's a bloody good day today. I wish I was well enough to enjoy it (and by 'enjoy it', I mean get the Domestic Sluttery girls drunk). To some who have been writing online for years, this might not mean much. If you've already hit your millions, probably quicker than us, it's not a big deal. But we're still young. We're still small, really. Popular, yes, but still small. And actually, I'm still humbled that anyone cares what I think about plates and wallpaper.
I'm not playing down what we do, we work hard. But sometimes it shocks me. I think I'll always be scared of success, despite any kind of ego that I might portray, I'm always scared that I'll fuck it up. That I'll do it wrong and it'll fall apart. Stuff like this reminds me that actually, I'm doing alright. Not perfect. But alright.
We're getting stronger, we getting bigger, we're getting better at what we do. I'm learning as an editor. I'm happy as an editor. I have an excellent website, and the best team in the world. Those girls are amazing. Miss Cay called it a double rainbow day. I'd forgotten about double rainbows until today.
So yeah, it's a happy day today. If you do find me playing down what we've achieved in reaching 1 million page views, please give me a slap. Because actually, it's pretty damn brilliant.
